Standing water is never just an eyesore — it's a slow-motion problem quietly working against your property. It drowns plantings and rots roots, breeds mosquitoes through the wet season, kills off turf in the low spots, undermines pavers and hardscape from below, and over time presses against your home's foundation. By the time you're staring at a puddle that won't leave, water has usually been misbehaving underground for a good while.

Fixing it starts with diagnosis, not guesswork. The wet spot you can see is often not where the problem actually originates — water travels, and treating the symptom instead of the source just relocates the puddle a few feet over. We read the property's grade, soil, and flow to figure out where the water truly comes from and where it wants to go, then design the solution around that reality.

From there we build what actually fits, and it's usually a combination rather than a single trick. French drains move subsurface water away, catch basins and channel drains collect it at the surface, regrading redirects the flow before it ever gets a chance to pool, and dry wells hold and release volume where there's nowhere obvious to send it. Downspouts get tied in so roof runoff isn't dumping straight against the house.

South Florida makes all of this a genuine engineering problem rather than an afterthought. Flat lots, a high water table, and some of the heaviest rainfall in the country mean water that isn't actively moved somewhere simply sits. We size and build our systems for the volume this climate actually delivers — not a mild afternoon shower, but the real summer storms that show up every year.

When we're done, we regrade, replant, and clean up so the fix disappears into the landscape instead of scarring it. The goal is to end the problem at its source so it doesn't come roaring back with the next heavy rain — protecting your plants, your hardscape, and your home all at the same time.
